Google Drive..... A storage space Online.

 Google Drive is here for us to share and store our data online. Initially it provides us the storage limit of 5 GB. If we have to store more data then we have to pay for it. Here is some of the featuire Google drive offering to us. Currently the drive is not available for every user, but Google ask us to select the “Notify” me option in order to get the information that when our drive is ready. TPL (Technology Premier League 2012)

                Here is a news for all of us, the TPL for this year is on so come join this league .Successful corporate IT projects are an amalgamation of astute planning, carefully considered decisions, good technology selection, brilliant project management—and remarkable teamwork.
Unfortunately, skills and abilities of corporate IT teams that achieve these great results are often unknown, under appreciated and unknown. But, that is about to change, with the Technology Premier League 2012.
The Technology Premier League 2012 is a corporate challenge contest jointly developed by ITNEXT and The CTO Forum. The aim of this contest to identify and honor corporate IT teams that have the knowledge, flair and ingenuity to solve complex technology problems—smartly, quickly and correctly.
The contest will involve 20 corporate IT teams in each city. Each 4-member corporate team will be supported by the CIO (or IT head of the organization), The CIO will play the role of a non-playing coach & captain, and will guide and advise the 4-member team during the contest.
The contest will be held over two days in an off-site location in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore (boarding & lodging at a 5 Star property will be provided by 9.9 Media). Each team will be given a complex business problem—and will need to create a comprehensive IT solution. The teams will have access to advice from technology specialists and vendors—and can take guidance from the CIO to prepare a winning solution.
All teams will need to present (and defend) its proposed solution to an independent jury. The jury for the Technology Premier League 2012 will comprise senior business leaders, top IT consultants and academic experts. The jury will evaluate the proposed solutions, and decide the winners of the contest.
The best teams (and their CIOs), in each city, will walk away with the honor of the being the Winning IT Team and winning stupendous prizes. Prizes include 15 all paid trips to Las Vegas for the winning teams (and their CIOs),15 weekend getaways, and more.

New Features of C# 5.0

Introduction of New Features in C# 5.0

1. C# Evolution Matrix

Microsoft just published a new version of C# : 5.0 beta with CLR version 4.5 (Visual Studio 11 beta).
In order to get a big picture of the whole evolution of C# language, I summarized all the key features
into a C# Evolution Matrix for your reference as below diagram shows:

In C# version 5.0, there are two key features: Async Programming and Caller Information.

2. Async Feature

Two new key words are used for Async feature: async modifier and await operator. Method marked
with async modifier is called async method. This new feature will help us a lot in async programming.
For example, in the programming of Winform, the UI thread will be blocked while we use
HttpWebRequest synchronously request any resource in the Internet. From the perspective of user
experience, we cannot interact with the form before the request is done.

In the past, we can also use BeginGetResponse method to send async request as this sample in MSDN
shows:

will takes us a lot effort to realize it.

Now, we can simply use below code to do request asynchronously :

method until the task is completed. Meanwhile, control is returned to the caller of the suspended
method.

3. Caller Information

Caller Information can help us in tracing, debugging and creating diagnose tools. It will help us
to avoid duplicate codes which are generally invoked in many methods for same purpose, such
as logging and tracing.

We could get the below information of caller method :

• CallerFilePathAttribute Full path of the source
  file that contains the caller. This is the file path at compile time.
• CallerLineNumberAttribute Line number in the
  source file at which the method is called.
• CallerMemberNameAttribute Method or property
  name of the caller.

Below example are a common practice prior to the new feature of Caller Information:

HTML 5 Interesting New Features

Hi Friends Here are some of the Interesting new features which were missing from the earlier version of the HTML. These cool features let the developer create a very RICH web application.

New Doctype :

This features let us Defined a very small Dock type rather than the complicated W3c DTD……. You can have the Dock type now as

A new tag has been added to create a sub heading in a small font for example the Copyright and other important information can be created using the SMALL tag.

“type” attribute :

There is no need to specify the type of the file attached in the Link and script sections. We can specify the, directly like

No Quotes:

We now have freedom to specify the HTML attribute without any quoted. This will leads us the hassle free syntax declaration.

To specify something in the text box in the form of water mark we can make use of a new features that is “Placeholder” this will let us specify the text we want to display in the text box. For example to show the sample email address.

Wonder you have to make any field in the form as mandatory and you don’t want to specify the JavaScript or any validator for the same? Yes its possible now with the help of “required” attribute. This will make the field as mandatory.

This allow us the control to be focused automatically without using any JavaScript this will leads to faster development and less JavaScript errors in the page.

Audio and Video Support:

There is a Special Audio element in the HTML 5 which will let us play the audio file directly without relying on any third party control on the page. The YouTube support let us play the video in the web page seamlessly.

Now we don’t have to worry for using the Regular expression to validate the input. We can directly specify them inside the element itself using the “pattern” attribute.
